Tii Gavo provides a multitude of lake uses and offers a wide array of accommodations one expects in a lakeside setting.

 

A community beach and boat docks are provided in Painted Turtle Bay, accessed from the Tii Gavo Center Complex.

A boardwalk extends out into the East Bay of Big Marine Lake for sunning and fishing.

A pier and swimming platform are located in Rasmussen Pond. All are interconnected by the Tii Gavo trail system.


WHAT ARE THE DOCKING CHOICES?

Boat Club Lots
Boat Club Lots are linked by the scenic trail and road system to the Tii Gavo Center with its beach, tennis, community building and dockside facilities.
Boat Club Lot owners have access to day docking locations at the community dock area. Boat Club Members may reserve and use the boat(s) made available in the 3 slips allocated to the Boat Club. These are lots 1-10 and 27- 29.

As a Boat Club Lot owner, can I still use the Community Association docks?
Yes. You may still use the Community Association docks. Sufficient day docking locations are available for boat loading and unloading.

What if I own a Boat Club Lot, have a boat, but wish to have assistance with it?
As a Tii Gavo lot owner, you are a Tii Gavo Boat Club Member. Depending on the level of interest expressed by fellow Lot Owners, Boat Club members may wish to establish fee-based ala carte services that can include boat launching, the trailer storage/parking, the boat fueling, boat valet services.

Where do I store my boat ?
Your boat and trailer is provided a fenced in storage location on the
Tii Gavo neighborhood grounds at the Tii Gavo Storage Facility.

Boat Slip Lots
Boat Slip Lots are located in somewhat closer proximity to Big Marine Lake,
(represented in the master site plan as lots 11-26). Each Boat Slip Lot owner has
one boat slip of 16 designated boat slips in the Tii Gavo Center’s Dockside facility.
Boat Slip Lot owners automatically become Boat Club members.

What if I want a boatlift at my designated dock slip?
Boat Slip Lot Owners have designated slip locations.
These slips can contain a boatlift and cover, if they are selected from a list of
pre-approved manufacturers, styles and colors.

What if I purchase a Boat Slip Lot, but do not own nor plan to own a boat?
The right to a designated dock slip comes with your lot. If you do not wish to use it, you may lease out your slip to other Community Association members of Tii Gavo for a renewable, specific length of time, at mutually agreed price and terms.

What if I wish to have the Boat Club help me with boat preparation, etc.?
As a Tii Gavo owner, Tii Gavo Boat Club membership will enable you to make use of the available different boat types. Again, as the types of services desired by Boat Club Members more specific services and fees can be selected. This can include coordination of boat preparation, fueling and clean up. Additional services
under consideration can also help with season end clean up, winterization and storage, as well as summer make-ready, re-launch for boatlift and boat.

WHAT IF I HAVE A BOAT?
Launching of all boats is performed at the public access ramp located at the north end of Big Marine Lake, 1 1/2 miles from Tii Gavo. There is no charge for launching. For day-use of your boat, daytime parking for your car and trailer is available on your lot and on-street near the Tii Gavo Center.

WHAT IF I WOULD LIKE TO USE A BOAT, BUT DO NOT WANT TO OWN ONE?
As a Tii Gavo lot owner, you belong to the Tii Gavo Boat Club. The Boat Club will initially offer Members reserved use of several boats owned by the Boat Club: A deck boat (a multi-use craft for fishing, skiing, tubing, or just a slow tour with a number of friends or family. Other initial Boat Club craft will include a two person peddle+paddle kayak, and a canoe.

As a Member, you will be able to reserve the boat you would like, for the time period you would like, on a first come basis. As Boat Club Members establish what level of services they desire and wish to afford, A Boat Club staff member could be on-call to have your selected boat waiting for you at the dock.

If you would like to occasionally use a boat, but do not want to own a boat or worry about boat maintenance, boat lifts, boat insurance or storage, then the TiiGavo Boat Club is the answer for you. The goal of the Boat Club is to provide Members the benefits of boat use, without the hassles and time commitments
of boat ownership, at a much lower cost.

WHAT IF I HAVE A CANOE OR KAYAK?
Storage racks will be available near the community docks on Painted Turtle Bay and on Rasmussen Pond for the lockable storage of canoes and kayaks. As a Tii Gavo Boat Club Member, with proper advance notice, the staff can assist you
with hauling, launching, and returning your canoe/kayak to storage.

HOW DO I GET ALL OF MY STUFF DOWN TO THE BOAT?
Two wheeled carts will be available at the Tii Gavo Community dock area for easy transport from the parking areas to your boat. As the preferences and level of service desired by Boat Club Members comes into focus, numerous potentials exist, As a Boat Club member, and with proper notice, a program can be initiated that could provide Members with assistance in transporting equipment and supplies to and from the boat. Current information will be available from your Tii Gavo representative.
